Dear Brothers & Sisters,

It is with great sadness to inform you that Local 763 has lost a family member as Vice-President, Diane Jaber, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2024.

Diane was a long-time member, in good standing, and shop steward of our Local where she also served on the Executive Board for 20 years.

In 2004, Diane joined the Executive Board as a Trustee and was subsequently appointed Recording Secretary in 2006. In 2015, she became Vice-President until she was elevated to the position of President of Local 763 in 2019.

Late last year, Diane made the decision to step down from President and resumed the role of Vice-President.

On March 20, 2024, Local 763’s Executive Board moved to posthumously appoint Diane Jaber, President Emeritus.

Diane was a Teamster through and through.  Her dedication and compassion for workers’ rights were insurmountable. She fought fiercely for fairness and equity for all our members. To say we have lost a champion is an understatement.

A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 1:30pm – 4:30pm, here at the Teamster Hall. Please come join us and her family to remember and celebrate, Diane Jaber.
